Previdente is pleased to inform you that it has acquired a laser apparatus for performing dental whitening and lasertherapy (main or supplemental treatment of various illnesses). These treatments can be performed at both the Ferreiras and Vilamoura clinics.

These measures seek to increase the range of services available at the clinic and they contribute to the Quality certification process (ISO 9001) currently underway at Previdente.

Lasertherapy can be used for various purposes, such as alleviating pain, tissue repair, anti-inflammatory purposes, anti-dermatosis and circulatory normaliser, pathology treatment (aphtha, dental hypersensitivity, dysfunction of the temporomandibular articulation, gingivitis, herpes simplex), among others.

What is a laser?

Laser technology involves the use of a ray of light possessing therapeutic properties. A device emits pure light, without any mixture, consisting of various wavelengths.

What applications does the laser apparatus acquired by the clinic have?

Lasertherapy

Used to replace some medication or used jointly with medication, helps the organism produce defences. It eliminates pain, is used as an anti-inflammatory and helps with scarring;

Dental whitening

The agent used – hydrogen peroxide – is subjected to a source of energy – laser beam. This type of energy allows a more satisfactory activation of the agent and thus produces a quicker and more effective result. The objective is generally attained after a single visit.
